Rolling Hills Turkey Trot

Every year since 2016 (minus the infamous 2020), Swim American San Diego hosted our own neighborhood Turkey Trot.  Unlike other Turkey Trots, you don't have to get the kids up early and fight for parking.  We start at a "reasonable" time and get you moving before the big feast.  This year we have teamed up with Plato Realty Group and are offering you a keepsake in the form of a t-shirt.  All proceeds from the t-shirt sales are being split between the Rolling Hills Foundation which supports our local elementary school and Penasquitos Lutheran Church who maintains a food pantry for the local community.  Here are the details:

Where: The Trot starts and ends at the Rolling Hills Park at 11165 Almazon Street.

When: Thanksgiving Day 11/23/2023 at 8:30AM

What: You have a choice between a 5K through the neighborhood or a 1 mile loop around the park. Run, walk or have the kids on bikes and scooters...whatever gets the family moving!

Who: Anyone who is in town, wants a little exercise, and is up for supporting a good cause!

Why: The RH Foundation helps pay for many components of learning that ARE NOT supported by the district.  This requires FUNDING!  Penasquitos Lutheran Church has many outreach programs for the community and providing families in need with a full thanksgiving dinner plus monthly food distributions is just part of their ongoing mission.

All T-Shirt sales must be preordered.  The order page will close down after Friday11/10 as time is needed to produce the shirts.  No shirts will be sold on the day of the race.  You do not need to order a shirt to run in the race nor run in the race to order a shirt!  It's about donating to two solid causes.  Here is the link to the T-SHIRT ORDER PAGE: https://turkeytrot.theswimguy.com/
